Don't let the outside of this place fool you. When you walk inside it's warm and friendly and the food is amazing. Our server Brittany was very attentive and awesome. I had the omelet and my husband had a huge breakfast burrito with home fries. Don't forget dessert!! We got it to go because we were stuffed (portions are huge). I had the black forest cake and Hubby had the Carmel cake, both were large and amazing. We will definitely eat there again!!! Thank you Brittany for our dining experience you are awesome!

Got the Fried Catfish dinner and it was so delicious!! Our server was Maria and she was really sweet ! Took care of us and everything. My other half got the Reuben with pastrami and corned beef, my son and daughter got the fried chicken and fries and the breakfast deluxe. Will definitely be back .

The eye catcher when you walk in is the display of beautiful cakes and pies. If you are a sweet lover, you should try a slice. The servings are large enough for 2 to share. The food is excellent every time! I have been coming to City Cafe several times a year for about a decade. The portions are very generous and will fill up even a hefty appetite. They have a very large and varied menu and I try something different every time. Today the choice was chicken stir fry. It did not disappoint! There was chicken, broccoli, snow peas, onion, peppers, carrots and zucchini served over a bed of rice. It arrived quickly and was nice and hot. Easy access off I-75 in Chattanooga makes this a perfect choice if you are passing through to Atlanta or Nashville. If you are traveling I-24 east to Atlanta, take the I-75 north exit. It’s only about 5 miles and oh so worth it. It’s an easy return to get back on your way south. In a hurry? Stop and pick up a slice of cake to go, you will be glad you did.

Best breakfast I have had in Chattanooga. Everything was cooked as ordered, asked for crispy bacon actually cooked and was served crispy and fresh. Soft scrambled eggs that aren't runny but not dry and chopped up into little bits. Toast was toasted. And the home fries were the real cooked potatoe chunks grilled on the skillet with onions and peppers. Perfection. I can only hope when I come back next year to visit I'll have the same pleasant experience.

What an amazing diner! The staff was very nice, food was fantastic and came out very quickly, and the decorations and aesthetics were really neat! They had a very large selection of cakes for dessert, unfortunately we were too full to try any. The garlic bread and marinara sauce were top tier, would get again. Fries had good flavor and a nice crisp to them, and the catfish was pretty decent. All in all if I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stop in!
